Erika Walsh joins PWPSD Inclusive Education team

Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD)’s Inclusive Education team is excited to welcome Mrs. Erika Walsh as its newest Coach. As Inclusive Education Coach, Mrs. Walsh will work alongside division staff and students to support positive learning environments for everyone.

Mrs. Walsh spent her first two years with PWPSD as an Inclusive Education Coach before serving as Principal and Assistant Principal of Wembley Elementary and Clairmont Community School respectively. As she prepares to return to the Inclusive Education team, she says she’s excited for the opportunity to support everyone across the division. “I’m excited to rejoin the Inclusive Education team and collaborate on how we can best support students and staff throughout PWPSD. While I know I have a lot to learn, I hope to contribute meaningfully with the experience I bring.” She says by working together as a team, the Inclusive Education Coaches can continue to create safe, supportive school environments for all students.

PWPSD’s Inclusive Education’s purpose is to provide every student with quality and equitable learning experiences by creating structures and processes that connect appropriate internal and external supports and services. This fall, Mrs. Walsh will use her expertise in inclusive education to work directly with staff to support the understanding of positive behaviour supports, and emotional regulation and co-regulation within PWPSD classrooms.
